Mariah Carrey and Nick Cannon to Get Married...Again

Mariah Carrey says the pair plan to get married again.

"Instead of trying to be like, 'you're invited, but, shhh, don't tell anybody,' we're just going to have another [wedding] next year," Carey told Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show Tuesday. "[Nick's] plan is to have one every year."

Those who attended the first beachside ceremony, she continues, were, "mainly people there to do my hair and help me with the dress." Both Carey and Cannon only brought along three friends each because, "we wanted to be on the beach and we didn’t want other people taking pictures," said Carey.

On the shock of the wedding and the publicity stunt rumors, Carey told DeGeneres, "We both experienced the hoopla of trying to make something a publicity stunt, which is what everybody thinks, and will think anyway, but we don't really care about that."

Looking to the future, Carey said she's found the man she wants to have kids with. "My parents divorced when I was three and I didn't have many examples of what was the 'norm,' " she says. But with Cannon, she says, "I found the right person."

I still don't believe that this will last.

Carey, who attended TIME magazine's "100 Most Influential People in the World" event with her new husband, showed off her impressive pink diamond sparkler from of Jacob & Co. jewelers. The ring, valued at a whopping $2.5 million, is 17 carats. The center stone alone is 10-carats – a little smaller than a dime.

"I wanted to do something extremely special, something that Mariah would really appreciate," Cannon said. "We got the pinkest stone we could find, surrounded by other diamonds."

Carey definitely approved. "It's so clear, you can see my finger through it," she said.

According to Jacob Arabo of Jacob & Co., Cannon "was very involved," in picking the ring, which has an emerald-cut fancy light pink center stone surrounded by 58 intense pink diamonds, flanked by two half-moon diamonds.

"The way he came into the store, I knew this was very serious," Arabo said. "He said, 'Jacob, I’m in love. This is what I want to do.'"

While a diamond may be forever, the couple's new tattoos – his says "Mariah" across his shoulders, and hers reads "Mrs. Cannon" on the small of her back – will last a lifetime. "Rings and all that is special and exciting," said Cannon. "But to us, tattoos mean more than anything because it's something we never thought we'd do."

I can't believe after "dating" for a month, they have a super fast wedding and now tattoos, I'm not sure that they know tattoos last forever.

Earlier this week, Carey, 39, was seen sporting a large ring, as she and Cannon, 27, held hands at the bash at Cadillac Lounge at Tenjune after the premiere of her movie Tennessee at New York's Tribeca Film Festival.

The ring, jeweler Jacob & Co. confirmed, is crafted from platinum and features a square, emerald-cut fancy light pink diamond in the center, surrounded by 58 intense pink diamonds, flanked by two half-moon diamonds. The total carat weight of the ring – the center stone alone is 10 carats – is a jaw-dropping 17 carats, with a value of $2.5 million.

They are said to have had a rushed wedding in the Bahamas at her mansion there. It was confirmed by an aunt Linda Cannon who told E! News that "Yes, we know. He called us and told us all about it. We are happy for him. If that is what he wants then we are happy for him." Few close friends including Da Brat were in attendance.

The biggest part about this, was that apparently no pre-nup was signed. Now that is just stupid. She is worth so much more than he will ever be worth. I don't know what she was thinking. Makes me remember Eminem talking about how crazy and desperate she is. Guess she really is!!! Oh well good luck to them, and I wonder how quick this divorce will come.
